Dad |
Rob's dad was a sought after
Jazz guitarist in West Virginia at a young age.
Bob could also play some
mean bluegrass pedal steel with his Uncle "Windy" Hanson
who held the title of "West Virginia State
Fiddling Champion".
|
Bullet Park | Bullet
Park was
Rob's first band at age 14 with his best friends,
Rich Carsello & Dave
Schrenk. They also had a"Blood Sweat & Tears" type
horn band called "Freefield".

Jaco & the Early
Years | Jaco
knew Rob's dad before he knew Rob. After they met,
with friends in common, Rob found himself over
at Jaco's house listening to the yet unreleased "Word
of Mouth" album. Jaco played one of the new
songs with Rob & others at friend Bernie's recital
for college & hid behind a curtain to suprise
the unsuspecting crowd. Bernie's guitar teacher was
Rob's dad... |
Amber & Heather | Amber & Rob met in college
in music classes in Miami, Florida. Rob found Amber
her first steady gig with a busy band in South Florida,
which launched
a long career in music, in spite of her father's counsel. Little did they know
at the time that four years later they would be married with a baby girl on the
way and plans to move to California. Their daughter Heather is now a fine bassist & songwriter
in her own right. One of her songs appears on Amber's second cd, "The Circle". |

John Georgini led Miami Dade's
Community College Jazz Band. When he met Rob
of 19 yrs. old, he
gave him a chair on bass and on keyboards and
Rob rotated with two other musicians on those
instruments. Mr. G., as they called him was a
great session player in Miami at the time. He
can be heard on many Bee Gee hits as well as
Bobby Caldwell's "What You Won't Do For
Love" and K.C. & The Sunshine Band.
He also allowed Amber to sing in the college
jazz band with the great Bill Watrous on trombone.
John is on the Sketchin'
2 cd. |
